ODESSA - Some relief might be on the way for two Ector County schools who are facing an unusual problem this school year.

It's a story NewsWest 9 first told you about last week.

Murry Fly Elementary and Cavazos Elementary had to close off new enrollment because they were worried about overloading their sewage systems.

The school district has a contract with the city to come and drain the schools' septic tanks once or twice a day but that could change.

Odessa City Council members will consider making an amendment to the agreement with ECISD at their regular meeting on Tuesday.

The district now has more than 29,000 students enrolled and that's 1,400 more than last year.
