NewsWest 9

If you want to drive a work truck, bus or a rig in Texas, you better live here.

The new rule was put into place September fourth.

It states that if you want your CDL license, you must have a permanent home in Texas.

The requirement only applies to first time CDL applicants.

You have to provide two forms of proof that you have a permanent home.
