Midland Family Behind Bars, Facing Child Endangerment Charges

MIDLAND - A Midland family remains behind bars after police say they caught them drinking and driving with cocaine and with five kids in their car.

Officers arrested 25-year-old Armando Arciga, Junior, his wife 32-year-old Monica Arciga and the couple's 13-year-old son.

Police pulled them over for driving dangerously.

We're told they almost hit the officer's car.

The officer found five children in the backseat with no seat belts on.

When questioned, the officer says Armando admitted to drinking, wouldn't cooperate and was being mouthy.

According to the arrest report, Monica was also being difficult and put her hands on the officer and that's when the 13-year-old boy got involved.

He rushed at the policeman and tried to take him down but he was stopped.

After arresting the teen and the parents, police searched the car and found cocaine in a cigarette box.

The Arciga's face several charges including endangering a child, having drugs in a school zone and resisting.
