ODESSA - Labor Day is meant to celebrate the economic and social contributions of workers.
Folks across the Permian Basin did just that on Monday.
The 55th Annual Labor Day Celebration was held at the Slator Community Center in Odessa.
Basin workers and their families were treated to food, games and other fun.
Just a bit of history, Oregon was the first state to celebrate Labor Day and it became an official national holiday in 1894.
