Sailor Returns Home For Two Week Leave

One family is celebrating Labor Day in a big way this year as their loved one is back from the military. Seaman Andre Johnson was given a warm welcome on Sunday afternoon by his friends, family and the Permian Basin Welcoming Committee.

MIDLAND - One family is celebrating Labor Day in a big way this year as their loved one is back from the military.

Seaman Andre Johnson was given a warm welcome on Sunday afternoon by his friends, family and the Permian Basin Welcoming Committee.

Johnson is in the Navy and is coming home for two weeks leave.

He just came back from a tour of duty in the Persian Gulf on the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln.

He also participated in Operation Enduring Freedom.

Johnson says he's looking forward to relaxing and enjoying all the things he missed.

Johnson is a graduate of Permian High School.
