ECTOR COUNTY - Officials have released the name of the driver involved in a deadly crash that killed two people over the weekend.
NewsWest 9 has learned this isn't the first time a car accident has affected one of the victim's families.
The accident happened on Loop 338 south of Interstate 20 just after 2 a.m. Saturday morning.
DPS officials identified Jesus Palomino as the driver of a 2009 Chevy.
He was headed northbound on Loop 338 when for some reason he veered into the oncoming lane and struck a 2009 Toyota head on.
The driver of the Toyota, Librado Dominguez was taken to the hospital, and was listed in stable condition.
Palomino and Kimberly Vazquez, a passenger in the Toyota, died at the scene.
Family friends of Vazquez tell NewsWest 9, her husband was killed in a car accident earlier this year.
You might remember back in May, an Odessa man lost control of his vehicle on the Grandview exit ramp of Interstate 20.
He later died at the hospital.
We're told the couple leaves behind some children.
