Two Midland Classical Academy Students Killed in Arizona Crash

Two Texas teens are dead following an accident in Arizona.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the vehicle rolled over early Saturday morning 12 miles east of Tuba City.

The victims were identified as Robert Henson, 18, and Bryce Carrigan, 14, both of Midland.

The high school students from Midland Classical Academy were going on a trip to the Grand Canyon.

DPS said the vehicle was westbound on Arizona 264 at Mile Post 333 when it left the roadway at 2:47 a.m. CDT and rolled over.

We're also told that the driver, Matt Slavick, and 8th Grader Zach Evans were seriously injured.

Slavick is a teacher at the school. Another parent and his son were also injured.

A special service is expected to take place in the coming days.
