ODESSA - Fears of the West Nile Virus attacking children on the playground is being addressed by the Ector County School District.
Mike Adkins, Spokesman for ECISD, says they are constantly checking for standing water which is a breeding ground for mosquitos.
We're told school nurses are on high alert and watching closely for any signs or symptoms in children.
Students can always apply repellant before coming to school.
However parents are asked not to send the repellant to school because of other children's allergies.
