ODESSA - The groundwork is being laid for the new Black Gold Work Camp in Odessa.
Workers are busy pulling out brush and leveling the land.
The camp is the latest solution to the housing crisis in the Basin.
It will be located off FM 866 in Ector County and will be built in four phases.
We're told when it's done, it will house 760 workers.
There will be two people per room and 16 people in each unit.
The site may also offer food services.
Water wells have been drilled on site and are waiting for approval from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
The units have not been pre-leased to any companies yet.
