Midland Teen Arrested for Allegedly Beating Up Ex-Girlfriend, Escaping from Patrol Car

MIDLAND - A Midland teen is behind bars after charges he beat up his ex-girlfriend and then escaped out a patrol car after he was arrested.

According to the police report, 19-year-old Devin Sabas and his girlfriend were arguing about their three week old child when Sabas got violent.

The woman claims he threw her into a wall and choked her when she was trying to leave. He then threw her on the ground and tried to smother her with a pillow.

When officers arrested Sabas, he escaped through the window of the patrol car and started running.

Officers were able to catch him.
