Doves are dropping dead around the Basin and it has wildlife officials baffled.
Now the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is stepping in to investigate.
The deaths have been reported in and around Big Spring, Odessa and Midland.
So far, poisoning has been ruled out.
Samples have been sent to a wildlife health center in Wisconsin but no cause of death has been found.
As we're heading into hunting season, hunters are asked to use caution when dealing with these birds.
