MIDLAND - You've seen the ads: Drink, Drive and Go to Jail.

On Saturday evening, people got the chance to see what it's like to be under the influence.

Labor Day weekend is coming up and local law enforcement agencies were out at the Midland Rockhounds Game showing people what they can expect if they choose to get behind the wheel after drinking.

A giant simulated jail cell was on hand at the game.

People who went inside the cell had to complete two tasks that showed the consequences of drunk driving to get out of jail.

They also had their mug shot taken.

The purpose is for people to get a taste of jail now so they won't ever want to go back.

Last year, 366 people died in alcohol related crashes just between the months of May and August.

Convicted drunk drivers could spend up to $17,000 for bail, fines, legal fees and other expenses.
