Man Pleads Guilty to Manslaughter Charges, Sentenced to Five Years Behind Bars

ODESSA - A deadly hit and run in Odessa will cost a man five years in prison.

Alberto Deanda pled guilty to manslaughter on Monday and received the five year sentence as part of a plea deal.

In 2009, Deanda ran a stop sign and hit and killed 36-year-old Fabian Rios.     

Deanda fled the scene but eventually turned himself into police.

The plea deal was done with the consent of the victim's family.
