Motorcyclist Injured While Trying to Stop at Red Light

MIDLAND - A biker in Midland almost has his foot sliced off while trying to stop at a red light.

The man was going down the service road of Loop 250 and came up to the signal light on Midkiff.

Officers say he lost control of the motorcycle, tried to stop and the bike fell over.

According to the police scanner, part of his ankle was cut off.

He was taken to the trauma unit at Midland Memorial.

There's no word on his condition.
