Hobbs Man Charged With Sexual Assault of a Child Caught in Mexico

MEXICO - A Hobbs man charged with sexual assault of a child has been found in Mexico.

58 year-old Frutoso "Rudy" Puente of Hobbs was taken into custody by Mexican authorities and turned over to U.S. Marshals.

Puente was wanted in Hobbs for five charges of sexual assault of a child.

He had lived in both Hobbs and Andrews over the past few years.

We're told he has a construction business and is self-employed.
