NEAR CRANE - Scary moments for a pilot and his passengers on Sunday after a single engine plane made an emergency landing on a highway near Crane.
The Crane County Sheriff's Office tells NewsWest 9, they got a call around 3 p.m. from the Federal Aviation Administration about a small plane that ran out of fuel and needed to make an emergency landing.
The plane ended up touching down on Highway 329, about seven miles west of Crane.
The pilot and passengers were not injured and the plane landed safely without any damage.
Officials had the road blocked off while the plane was moved but the highway is now back open.
