Former Winkler County Attorney Scott Tidwell is facing more legal trouble.
A former Midland resident has filed a legal malpractice suit against Tidwell and his father, Jack Tidwell.
The Tidwell's represented the women in a personal injury suit after she fell at a neighbors' home injuring her shoulder.
The lawsuit accuses the Tidwell's of negligence, legal malpractice, gross negligence, deceptive trade practices and fraud.
The woman is asking for over $500,000 in damages.
Scott Tidwell was previously convicted of retaliation, misuse of official information and misdemeanor official oppression.
He was removed from office and sentenced to 10 years' probation and four months in jail.
He's appealing that conviction.
