Search for Hobbs City Manager Down to Three Candidates

HOBBS, N.M. - The search for a new City Manager in Hobbs is down to three candidates.

Mayor Sam Cobbs says the City Commission plans to interview JJ Murphy, currently the President of Goals Consulting of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. Ronald Foggin, currently the Assistant City Manager in Lehi City, Utah and Curtis Schrader, the current City Manager for  Jal City, New Mexico.

Interviews will take place Tuesday, August 21, beginning at 9 a.m. and are expected to last all day.

Mayor Cobb says the position will remain open until filled.

This is the second attempt to fill the position after the retirement of Eric Honeyfield last Spring.
