Lovington City Manager Fired

LOVINGTON, N.M. - The City Manager in Lovington is looking for a new job.

That's because in a unanimous vote, the City Commissioners decided to fire Michael Leighton from his position on Monday night.

City officials say he was fired for operating a vehicle without permission and for not completing a landscaping project in a timely manner.

We're also told there were a lot of complaints surrounding unprofessional behavior.
