ODESSA - A community forum on President Obama's new immigration policy will be held this week in Odessa.
The organization Una Voz Unida is hosting the event.
You might remember back in June, the Obama Administration announced certain illegal immigrants who came to the country as children and meet specific guidelines can request permission to stay in the country for two years without penalty.
They'll also be allowed to apply for a worker's permit that is renewable; however, this policy does not grant citizenship.
If you're interested in the forum, it'll be held on Monday at 6 p.m. at the Salinas Park Community Center located off of Clements Street in Odessa.
Immigration lawyer Daniel Caudillo from El Paso is the guest speaker.
