Lightning to Blame for Fire That Sparked Up in Big Spring

BIG SPRING - Lightning is to blame for a fire that sparked up on Sunday night in Big Spring.

The fire started around 9 p.m. south of Big Spring at FM 818 and Elbow Road.

The fire has burned about 75-80 acres but fire crews have it surrounded and it is 100 percent contained.

A few homes were initially threatened but they are now out of harm's way.
