Two Men Charged With Murder in Gaines County Fighting Extradition

NEW MEXICO - Two men arrested and charged in a double murder in Gaines County don't want to come back to Texas.

25-year-old Bobby Ruiz and 32-year-old Juan Castillo are charged with capital murder.

Both are in the lea county jail in New Mexico fighting extradition.

The District Attorney's Office tells NewsWest 9, a Governor's warrant has been issued for their return to Texas.

However, it could take several weeks.

We're told no decision has been made yet on whether to go for the death penalty.

Ruiz and Castillo, along with two others, are accused in the murders of two men in Gaines County.

John Allen and Jay Doyal were found shot dead in a home.
