MIDLAND COUNTY - Police say a man blew out a tire along Interstate 20 near mile marker 134 in Midland County but refused to stop.

Even though he wasn't being chased, police think might have been drinking.

While he was riding on the rim, sparks flew, causing a fire in the median.

Once the car stopped, the man took off running down a dirt road.

We're told a stranger spotted him, ran after him and tackled him.

They held him until officers arrived.
