Group of Animal Rights Activists Show Up in Midland to Protest Wal-Mart

MIDLAND - A group of animal rights activists showed up in Midland to protest Wal-Mart.

Complete with a 10 foot tall, caged bloody pig, the group greeted shoppers with information about their cause.

It's part of a 70 city national tour targeting Wal-Mart for how their pork supplier treats their animals.

The leader of the group says people need to know what they're eating and where it comes from.

"Consumers have a right to know where their food comes from and how the animals are treated, so we can all make informed decisions," Phil Letten with Mercy for Animals, said.
