Trial Rescheduled Again for Teen Accused of Murdering Odessa Toddler

ODESSA - The trial for a 14-year-old boy accused of murdering Odessa toddler Walker Lumpkin has been pushed back again.

Judge Jim Bobo tells NewsWest 9, the trial is re-scheduled for Tuesday, August 28 at 9 a.m.

The set back this time a key witness for the state having health issues.

The doctor from Arizona did not think she would be well enough to travel to Texas.

You'll remember Ector County investigators say the teen intentionally ran over four year old Walker Lumpkin in a four wheeler almost a year ago.

But that wasn't what caused his death.

A week later, Lumpkin was taken to the hospital with head injuries and later died from a blow to the head.
