MARTIN COUNTY - A multi-vehicle pileup has shut down all lanes of traffic on I-20 between Midland and Stanton near mile marker 152 (near FM 829).
TXDOT Official tell NewsWest 9, there were a total of two wrecks involving 15 vehicles are involved and three of them are 18-wheelers.
One of the 18-wheelers has rolled over and is leaking methane.
One person has been airlifted to Medical Center Hospital in serious condition and has been now been airlifted to a Lubbock Hospital.
Four to five others have been transported via ambulance to various hospitals.
Their conditions are unknown at this time.
There was also a separate accident near the initial pileup around 6:30 p.m. on the north service road of Interstate 20 near mile marker 152.
Information on how that accident happened is not available but we're told the accident involved an 18-wheeler and a woman in a vehicle.
The woman was airlifted to MCH in critical condition.
TXDOT Officials tell NewsWest 9, Interstate 20 will be closed for approximately for four more hours in both directions.
