IRION COUNTY - Anthrax has been found in West Texas in livestock.

The infected sheep was found in Irion County, that's just 26 miles southwest of San Angelo.

The premises have been quarantined.

So far, this is the second case of anthrax being found in an animal.

It actually isn't uncommon for anthrax to be diagnosed in livestock since anthrax is a naturally occurring bacterial disease.

When an animal is infected, they will usually bloat followed by a fever and a quick death.
