ODESSA - Odessa Police have confirmed the man found dead in his car with a gunshot wound committed suicide.
A passer-by spotted him late Sunday night in the PetSmart parking lot on 42nd Street.
He alerted employees at Starbucks who called police.
Police say the man died from a gunshot wound to the head.
"One of the customers went to his car, which was parked next to that light pole. Uh, when he looked over, he saw the guy hunched over so he went to Knock on the window. When he went to knock, he saw that he had a rifle," a Starbucks employee told our NewsWest 9 crew on the scene.
The man's name has not been released.
