MIDLAND - Midland Police need your help trying to solve a bizarre fatal accident early Saturday morning.
Midland Police say 20-year-old Mark Anthony Varela was driving on a concrete area south of Highway 191, under the Loop 250 overpass.
He went off the edge and landed upside down on Highway 191.
That's when a truck hit Varela's pickup.
Varela was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver and his passenger went to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Officers are trying to figure out why and how Varela was driving on the concrete above Highway 191.
