Cotton Farm in Midkiff Forced to Pay Back Wages

MIDKIFF - A cotton and melon farm in Midkiff forced to pay back wages after an investigation by the U.S. Labor Department.

That investigation found Holubec Farms wasn't paying their temporary employees minimum wage nor did they providing transportation or keep accurate payroll records.

The 10 farm workers were paid more than $14,000 in back wages and the farm paid $7,000 in penalties for the violations.
