Man on Texas Top 10 Most Wanted List Arrested in Odessa

ODESSA - A man on the top ten fugitive list in Texas has been arrested in Odessa.

Trinidad Diaz Mermella was arrested on Tuesday in Odessa.

Back in June of last year, a warrant was issued for Mermella's arrest after he violated the conditions of his parole.

He had previously served time in state prison for burglary of a habitation.

The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in Midland received information from U.S. Marshal's in El Paso that Mermella may be in West Texas.

Around 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, surveillance teams observed Mermella pull up to home on Walnut Street in Odessa.

He was arrested without incident.

Mermella is affiliated with the Hermandad de Pistoleros Latinos Gang.

He was considered armed and dangerous and a flight risk.
