Scammers are sending out emails offering a $1,000 Visa gift card courtesy of the Lea County Sheriff's Office.

Here's the big red flag, the email address is from a site in the United Kingdom.

Obviously, the sheriff's office doesn't offer this stuff.

All they're after is your personal information.
