MIDLAND/ODESSA - There are plans in the works for developments off Highway 191.
But to get it going, there's a little groundwork that needs to be done.
The Midland-Odessa Transportation Organization laid out those plans on Monday for Midland and Ector County Commissioners.
They're looking at ways to bring developments like sub-divisions, road improvements and retail to the corridor.
The plan calls for about 14 miles and 70 acres of land with roadwork and utility lines.
Both cities and counties need to adopt sub-division codes that match to allow an easier transition when or if the lands are annexed for future developments.
The organization got the go ahead in Ector County for their thoroughfare plan, but in Midland, it was only discussed.
