The Lesser Prairie Chicken is being considered for the endangered species list.
Several public meetings have been scheduled across the Basin.
The Gaines County Soil and Water Conservation District will give information to landowners on how they can help at a meeting next week.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday at 1:30 pm at the Llano Estacado Underground Water Conservation District Offices.
