No Action Will be Taken Against Alpine City Attorney After He Turned in Reports Late

ALPINE - No action will be taken against the Alpine City Attorney after he turned in two campaign finance reports late.

Rod Ponton is in the runoff for the District Judge Seat.

He was fined by the Texas Ethics Commission for turning in those reports one day late.

The Alpine City Council took no action against Ponton after a very long executive session.

His excuse for missing the deadline was his hectic schedule.

He will remain the Alpine City Attorney.
