ODESSA - The Odessa Jackalopes are spending their off-season helping sick children.

The team partnered with the Odessa Shrine Club and raised over $50,000 in just four months.

All that cash will go the shrine hospital in Galveston.

The Gulf Coast Hospital is a rehab center for children with burns or other skin conditions.

On Monday, the team's mascot, Slapjack, along with several Shriners will head to Galveston to present the check.
