Jury Selection Underway for Hobbs Mom Accused of Killing Her Toddler

HOBBS, N.M. - Jury selection is underway for a Hobbs mom accused in the death of her toddler.

Miranda Kuykendall and her boyfriend, Christopher Elliot, were arrested in 2010.

They're charged with abusing her 21-month old son, Braxtin, who ended up dying.

Elliot plead guilty was sentenced to a minimum of 28 years in prison.

Police were called out to their home when Braxtin stopped breathing but they found the child covered in burns and bruises.

His three-year old brother also had bruises all over his body.

Kuykendall faces life in prison.
