MIDLAND - An accident in Midland took out a power pole on Tuesday afternoon.
Just before 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, a power pole snapped in the area of Loop 250 and Billingsley.
We're told a pickup truck was headed across a dirt lot by a nearby power station.
The trailer it was towing hit a guy wire, snapping the pole in half, causing the lines to fall and starting a small grassfire.
That fire has been put out.
Initially, the accident knocked out power to more than 800 customers but right now only a little over 100 people are still in the dark.
