MIDLAND - A suspected drunk driver has been arrested for running down a cyclist in Midland and then ditching the scene.
The accident happened just before 9 p.m. Sunday night near Midland Drive and Harlowe.
The driver of a Camaro hit 59-year-old Ignacio Hernandez while he was riding his bike on the sidewalk and then took off.
Hernandez had to be airlifted to a Lubbock hospital with life threatening injuries.
Police later located the car and arrested 41-year-old Janie Dominguez.
She's being charged with intoxication assault.
