A man accused of killing two people in Gaines County was caught in New Mexico and that's where he wants to stay.
34-year-old Nicomedes Sosa was arrested after a traffic stop in Hobbs last month.
Officers found him hiding in the back of a van.
He is now fighting his extradition to Gaines County but he needs Governor Perry's approval.
The paperwork has been filed.
Sosa is accused of killing John Allen and Jay Doyal back on May 10.
Both men had been shot to death in a home.
