A native Texan, Mike has lived and worked in San Antonio, Fort Worth and most recently, Corpus Christi, where he anchored the evening news for KZTV.
Strong family ties brought him to West Texas many times while growing up, and later, Mike spent time working in the Permian Basin as a Consultant.
Together, Mike and his wife are the parents of four children.
