ODESSA - A local company took the reins on Monday in getting a little taste of home to our troops overseas.
Local Budweiser employees and parent company, Anheuser-Busch, are shipping out snacks to troops.
On Monday, employees packaged over $3,200 worth of snacks to be sent to Afghanistan.
We're told it started as a donation drive and turned into a massive campaign.
With so many employees having ties to the military, Representative Retha Fortenberry says it's nice that the company cares this much.
"It just means a lot to our entire company to do something, to send a little slice of home to these kids," Fortenberry said.
Fortenberry says she hopes the company will continue this tradition for troops stationed overseas.
