New York, New York (PRWEB) July 04, 2012
Within two days of the celebratory topping off ceremony of 4 World Trade Center, there were two separate construction accidents on the site.
“In less than a week, construction workers experienced two different types of construction accidents on one work site. Thankfully, neither was fatal. It is important for every construction worker and employer to take the necessary precautions to prevent injuries and fatalities from occurring in New York,” construction accident lawyer David Perecman, founder of The Perecman Firm, one of New York’s construction accident law firms, said.
In one construction accident, a construction worker on the WTC site tripped and fell four feet. He landed on a section of steel rod he was carrying in his apron pocket and was impaled. The construction accident was reported by the Wall Street Journal(6/27/2012).
As New York construction accident lawyers at The Perecman Firm understand, the injury was not life threatening.
One day after the New York construction accident involving the worker, a crane lifting a beam tilted and shattered glass on the 45th floor, said the WSJ. The sidewalk below reportedly was protected by a construction shed and the falling glass caused no injuries.
“These incidents underscore the dangerous nature of construction in New York,” said construction accident lawyer Perecman, chairman of the Labor Law committee for the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and lecturer on construction accident law.
