Two People Killed in Dump Truck Accident in Glasscock County

GLASSCOCK COUNTY - We're learning more about the three people involved in a deadly crash in Glasscock County.

The crash left two young people dead and a semi driver in handcuffs.

The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.

We're told the impact was so hard, the pickup ended up underneath the 18-wheeler.

Glasscock County Sheriff Keith Burnett says a big rig dump truck ran a stop sign at FM 2401 and slammed into a pickup.

The victims have been identified as 18-year-old Jacob Power, a student and football player at Lee High School and 28-year-old Bryan McBride.

They both died at the scene.

The driver of the semi, Ruben Garces, was arrested.

Burnett says Garces is a Mexican National and didn't have a driver's license.

Garces has been charged with involuntary manslaughter.
