Man Sentenced to 28 Years for Midland Murder

MIDLAND - A man arrested in connection to a Midland murder has plead guilty to the crime. Jeremiah Brown plead guilty to the murder of Stephen Gowan.

Gowan was found shot in an alley near Fairview Cemetery back in March. Brown was sentenced to 28 years behind bars. Brown was also found guilty of burglary of a habitation and was sentenced to 18 years. The burglary sentence will run concurrently with the 28 years for murder.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Leah Robertson and defended by Ray Fivecoat.
