MIDLAND COUNTY - The Midland bomb squad was called out to a home Wednesday evening. Just after 8 someone called from a home on East County Road 135 and FM 7-15.

No one lived there at the time. We're told the owner had gone to the house to clean it up. Neighbors in the area were evacuated as a precaution.

They told deputies they found a box inside, that looked like explosives. We're told the box contained 15 sticks of ammonium nitrate. Ammonium nitrate can be used in farming to fertilize, but the main component is also used in improvised explosives.

After securing the area, the bomb squad came in.

The sticks didn't have detonators, and were stable. The bomb squad took the box out of the home and will dispose of them safely.

No one was hurt, and no charges will be filed.
