ODESSA - A number of stores in Odessa received a failing grade for not protecting minors from tobacco advertisements.

According to a survey, six of the 26 stores have too many tobacco advertisements and promotions.

These stores include gas stations and supermarkets.

Tobacco companies spend more than $9 billion dollars a year on advertisement in local stores.

Some cities have local ordinances that limit the amount of ads and where they can be placed.
