RUIDOSO, N.M. - Firefighters in New Mexico are getting closer to putting out the flames of the Little Bear Fire.
The blaze started on June 4th from a lightning strike.
It's now 90 percent contained but the fire has left behind a lot of destruction.
242 homes and businesses went up in flames and that number could go up.
On Friday, crews took advantage of an afternoon rain storm to keep the 69-square-mile fire in check and increase containment lines.
The blaze is burning near Ruidoso and city officials say the town is still open for business and tourism.
