MIDLAND - A Midland man is accused of attacking a police officer because the official was touching his boyfriend.

On Tuesday, officers were called out to a domestic disturbance.

When officers arrived, they found 27-year-old Michael Stacy Roe and his boyfriend extremely intoxicated.

At one point, the two began arguing so officers separated them.

That's when Roe yelled at an officer, "don't touch my boyfriend" then jumped over a couch and punched an officer.

Roe was wrestled to the ground but continued to resist.

Roe is charged with assaulting an officer and resisting arrest.
