HOBBS, N.M. - The Hobbs Chamber of Commerce is starting to bounce back from the red, thanks to their members and the community.
For a while now, the chamber has been operating on an emergency line of credit that has been quickly dwindling.
Chief Executive Officer Grant Taylor says the line of credit was dangerously thin and something needed to be done.
The chamber then called on their members to help out.
One company went as far as to donate about $1,000.
Taylor says its difficult being in this situation because they can't focus on being a chamber and fulfilling their mission.
The Chamber has raised about $4,000 to date but still have a long way to go before they can say they are debt free.
